Kyle Seager also homered for the Mariners, who have won four games in a row and six of eight on their nine-game trip.

Mariners left-hander Tommy Milone (3-7), who entered after right-hander Matt Wisler pitched a scoreless first, earned his second straight victory despite allowing four runs on six hits in five innings. He walked one and struck out four.

Mariners right-handers Sam Tuivailala, Anthony Bass and Matt Magill combined for three scoreless innings of one-hit relief. Magill pitched the ninth for his second save.

Rays left-hander Jalen Beeks (5-3) allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits in five innings. He walked three and struck out four.

The Mariners took an early lead on Seager's two-run shot in the first inning, his 17th home run of the season. It came off right-hander Diego Castillo, who was serving as the Rays' opener.

Milone gave up the lead in his first inning of work. With one out, Willy Adames singled up the middle and advanced to second on center fielder Keon Broxton's error. Kevin Kiermaier reached on an infield single and Mike Zunino lined a run-scoring single to left. Kiermaier scored on Austin Meadows' groundout to tie the score at 2-2.

The Rays took a 4-2 lead in the fourth. Eric Sogard and Adames both singled before Kiermaier hit a run-scoring double to left. Meadows brought in the second run with another groundout.

The Mariners didn't take long to tie it, scoring twice in the fifth. Tim Lopes reached on a fielding error by third baseman Matt Duffy and advanced to second on Dee Gordon's single to right. Broxton grounded into a fielder's choice, leaving runners at first and third. Lopes scored on a wild pitch by Beeks and Broxton on a two-out double by Austin Nola.

Seager walked to lead off the sixth and Murphy followed with his third home run in the past two games for a 6-4 advantage. Murphy has homered in four consecutive games.

The Mariners added a run in the seventh off left-hander Hoby Milner as Nola walked with two outs and scored on Seager's double to right.
