Joey Lucchesi and three relievers combined on a three-hit shutout, and Wil Myers and Manny Machado hit opposite-field homers Saturday night as the San Diego Padres defeated the visiting Colorado Rockies 3-0.

Myers broke up a scoreless pitching duel between Lucchesi (10-7) and Rockies right-hander Jeff Hoffman with a solo homer opening the bottom of the fifth. Machado hit a two-run homer off Hoffman (1-6) an inning later.

Lucchesi retired the first nine Rockies he faced and finished allowing two hits and five walks with eight strikeouts over six innings. He struck out Garrett Hampson with two out and the bases loaded in the fourth, and got Ryan McMahon to ground into a double play with two on and no one out in the sixth.

Lucchesi is 3-0 over his last four starts with a 1.57 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP, allowing four runs on 16 hits and 10 walks with 18 strikeouts in 23 innings.

Craig Stammen and Andres Munoz followed Lucchesi with perfect innings. Closer Kirby Yates allowed a hit but completed the Padres' fifth shutout of the season to earn his major-league-best 40th save -- although it was only his 10th since the All-Star break.

The win halted a four-game Padres losing streak. The loss was the Rockies' 10th in the last 11 games, and they are 2-14 over the last 16 games.

Hoffman had allowed only one hit and a walk before Myers homered.

Myers extended his hitting streak to seven games with his 17th homer of the season. The drive to right came on a 2-1 offering from Hoffman and traveled 376 feet. It was Myers' third homer during the streak. Myers was 3-for-4 Saturday and is 10-for-19 during the streak.

Greg Garcia drew a walk from Hoffman to open the sixth. After Nick Martini struck out, Machado hit a 376-foot drive to right for his 29th homer of the season and his first since Aug. 30.
