Tiger-Cats 33, Blue Bombers 13: Dane Evans threw for 359 yards and three touchdowns as visiting Hamilton shut down Winnipeg to become the first team in the CFL to reach 11 wins.

Evans completed 25-of-32 passes and Tyrell Sutton made a touchdown catch in his season debut for the Tiger-Cats (11-3), who opened an eight-point lead atop the East Division. Brandon Banks hauled in eight passes for 113 yards and a TD while Bralon Addison had four receptions for 90 yards and a score for Hamilton, which has won six of its last seven games.

Chris Streveler was 31-of-42 for 304 yards and a touchdown but threw a pair of interceptions for the Blue Bombers (9-5), who have dropped three of their last four contests. Kenny Lawler Jr. caught 10 passes for 144 yards while Andrew Harris registered 71 scrimmage yards and a score for Winnipeg, which had won its previous nine at home.

Harris caught an 8-yard touchdown pass to put the Blue Bombers on top 7-0 before Addison hauled in an 8-yard scoring strike and Lirim Hajrullahu kicked a 9-yard field goal to give the Tiger-Cats a three-point advantage. Evans threw a 10-yard TD pass to Banks and David Watford scored on a 1-yard quarterback sneak to help Hamilton pull in front 24-7 before Justin Medlock converted a 42-yard attempt on the last play of the first half to cut Winnipeg's deficit to 14.

Medlock (46 yards) and Hajrullahu (49) traded field goals in the third quarter before Justin Tuggle's 79-yard interception return early in the fourth led to Sutton's 8-yard touchdown catch two plays later as Hamilton pulled ahead 33-13. Jumal Rolle picked off a pass by Streveler in the end zone to snuff out a scoring drive and the Tiger-Cats cruised the rest of the way to complete a sweep of the season series.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Addison surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career. … Winnipeg QB Matt Nichols, who has missed the last five games, underwent season-ending shoulder surgery on Thursday. … Harris rushed for 37 yards to reach 1,000 for the third consecutive season. … Evans has thrown for 300 or more yards in five of his last six starts. … Hamilton LB Simoni Lawrence set a new single-game CFL record with 17 tackles, which eclipsed the old mark set by Reggie Hunt (16) on July 10, 2003.
