The Texans held the Titans to nine first downs and 162 yards, including 76 on their final drive of the game.

Chris Johnson rushed for just five yards on seven carries while rookie Rusty Smith was 17 of 31 for 138 yards in his first NFL start for the Titans.

The Texans (5-6) snapped a four-game losing streak, while the Titans (5-6) have lost four straight.

Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson and Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan were ejected for fighting with 7:39 left in the fourth quarter.

Schaub finished 25 of 35 for 178 yards, and Arian Foster had 143 yards rushing and 75 receiving for the Texans. Foster leads the NFL in rushing with 1,147 yards.

It was the second shutout in franchise history for the Texans, who won the time of possession battle, 39:41 to 20:19.
