Arizona forward Christian Fischer recorded his first career hat trick, Derek Stepan had three assists, and Darcy Kuemper made 35 saves in his second start of the season as a late replacement, leading the Coyotes to a 4-1 road win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday.

Dylan Strome scored his second goal of the season on a power play, and the Coyotes broke a six-game losing streak in the series while completing a four-game road trip with a 2-2-0 record.

Fischer scored in each period, putting the game away with a wrist shot from between the circles after a pass from Stepan at 4:44 of the third. Stepan assisted on all three of Fischer's goals. Fischer has four goals this season, all in the past two games.

Pierre-Luc Dubois scored the Blue Jackets' only goal, coming in the opening shift of the game on a pass from behind the net that bounced off Coyotes forward Clayton Keller's chest and dribbled in past Kuemper.

The Coyotes, who killed all three Columbus power plays, have permitted only two power-plays goals in 20 chances this season.

Arizona forward Alex Galchenyuk had one shot in 15:01 of ice time in his first game since sustaining a lower-body injury in the preseason. Columbus All-Star defenseman Seth Jones also played his first game after being sidelined with a sprained knee. He took four shots and blocked three in 27:24.

The Coyotes were last in the league with 11 goals entering the game, but they have now scored 11 in their past three games.

Kuemper was a late entrant to the starting lineup after Antti Raanta was given a maintenance day, coach Rick Tocchet said.

Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky made 22 saves.

After Dubois' fluke goal 31 seconds into the game, Fischer tied the game on a quick shot from the right side at 7:08 of the first period. Strome made it 2-1 on a shot from out in front after a backhand pass from Vinnie Hinostroza with two seconds left in a power play at 12:23 of the first.

Fischer tipped in a pass from Stepan 29 seconds into the second period for a 3-1 lead.
