Vancouver's J.T. Miller slapped a puck past Andersen at 14:46 of the second, but a video review determined that the play was offside and there was no goal.

The Maple Leafs had a 23-17 advantage in shots on goal after the second period.

Matthews took advantage of a turnover to score his 10th of the season from close range at 1:28 of the third period. It gave him his second consecutive two-goal game.
